The well is deep, ok?

go ahead and click the picture to get a (hopefully) bigger picture, so you can read this stuff. And see that drawing. By the way, my visual arts skills remain at that very same level. Serious. I've told you overdroid. it's bad.
also, i imagine a young mary k holding for a rim shot after the cherry tree bit, and wishing i could add after the word campfire, "(pussy)."

Simpson and Snatch: Consider this

Is bounty hunting the logical next step for Simpson and Snatch?

Is a nap in order?

We're asking.

New fun every damn day.

Simpson and Snatch: Houseboat Party

Ok, it's up!

It's a work in progress.
We started on Memorial Day, so we started with our Memorial Day ep.
Probably not the best ep. to start on, but....

The site will change a little, probably, and the episodes are DAILY. Interactive fun stuff will be added. Hell, you'll be able to click on Simpson and/or Snatch while they're sleeping, and wake them up. (we hope)

Ok, enough qualifying of the thing? Enough disclaimers? It'll be good, in the long run. I'm probably aware of the problems with it that you'll come up with, but if there's a glaring problem, or if you have services to donate, ideas, bring 'em on.

Also, hopefully you'll be able to buy Simpson and Snatch thongs
at some point.
You'd like that, wouldn't you?

A Mike on the Mic the size of a KING

Holy my lordies!
I love Mike Geier! He's the monologist this week at Doug Dank.
Push Push Wednesday at 10pm.

He's the giant guy who fronts the band Kingsized!
He works with the Dames Aflame, as well. Excellent singer. He's married to one of the dames. The one who wears little clothing and the demeanor and mask of a monkey. It's pretty cool.
Mike used to operate a cuban restaurant at night in Candler Park out of the Gato Bizco space which only does breakfast/lunch. He cooked me some damn good fish, black beans, rice, and plantains.
Here's some press from the kingsized site:
An entertainer of unparalleled versatility, Big Mike has shared billing with such great and varied artists as Tony Bennet, El Vez, Flat Duo Jets, Neko Case, Southern Culture on the Skids, Squirrel Nut Zippers, Francine Reed, Ronnie Dawson, Room Full Of Blues, Royal Crown Revue, Rudy Ray Moore, Sam Butera, Asleep At The Wheel, and Tenacious D. He costarred in MTV's Brickface and Stucco, acted in a few Bikini Bandits films, performed live on 99X and via world-wide webcast on New Jersey's WFMU. Geier also records voice-overs for TV and radio.

In addition to countless club appearances and functions here in Atlanta, KINGSIZED has entertained the peoples from all points on the map, playing shows in Austin, Chapel Hill, Chicago, Dallas, Ft. Lauderdale, Highlands, Los Angeles, Nantucket, Naples, New Orleans, New York City, Philadelphia, San Francisco and Washington D.C. KINGSIZED has performed the New Year's Eve Peach Drop at Underground Atlanta and the My South Rocks series at Turner Field, as well as the EinS Gallery Opening in Frankfurt, Germany and the Tabou Tiki Room in Berlin.

Panty Punchers

So, a guy had a punching bag.
A punching bag he decided not to take with him as he moved into a new house.
New house, old bag, toss it out, he decided.
He decided, then, for whatever reason(s), to cut it open to see what was inside.
What was inside was men's and women's underwear, socks, thongs, bras-- dirty.
Dirty men's and women's underwear, socks, thongs, bras that stunk. not pretty.
That's pretty stinking funny.

Then someone else checked their bag.
Their bag was no different.

"Is my mattress filled with ladies garments? You know what else is people trying to save $1 for?" Haslage said.

"They said it took them a few tries to get a hold of the maker who said a new, non-underwear filled bag is on the way."

Nerdcore News!

Big News!
Our guest this week has changed. For those of you looking forward to Preston Craig's return to The Doug Dank Project, our apologies. But, he will return this summer. Promise.
Instead we are lucky to welcome MC CHRIS as our guest monologist.
MC CHRIS was a production assistant on Aqua Teen Hunger Force as well as The Brak Show. He voiced MC Pee Pants four times, five including the movie (Aqua Teen Hunger Force Colon Movie Film for Theaters) six including the video game just recorded in LA. BOOYAH! His voice also appears in The Brak Show where he wrote two episodes, including a rap opera which guest starred cee-lo (after his first solo album, pre gnarls.) His drawings found their way into every show including the last episode of Space Ghost Coast to Coast. mc was promoted to assistant producer and made on air content for the late night block, but a life in music was calling. So he took off and recorded a bunch of kick ass hip hop. After a year of doing pretty much nothing but touring, mc took off half a year to make his fourth album, Dungeon Master Of Ceremonies. It premiered at number 13 on itunes hip hop the day it was released, it peak at number nine after mc asked his fans to bump him into the top ten and onto the homepage. The album was followed by a record breaking tour and articles in Newsweek, High Times, and Playboy.

On top of all of this, he's a good friend, and he's super hilarious. But I bet he has some really touching stories, too.

Find Out Wednesday night May16th a 10pm.
at Push Push.

Another Nora

Pls. catch her meow at the very end.

can't get---can't get fooled again.

or can i?
i can.

From the same source that gave me "put chocolate chips in your black bean chili!" comes, "Mexican Chocolate Cake with Cayenne Pepper!"

Should i try it? It sure looks delicious, and boy was it highly endorsed.
I said i'd never trust anything like that again. I guess i'm more of a three strikes you're out kinda girl.
Or am i?
I am.

Easy and me

So, if nothing falls through or anything, next week, i'll gargle and spit water, then get poked in the head by Eli and/or Archie Manning while sitting in a convertible for 2 days in Mississippi.

This is why i sort of sigh and dread when people ask me what i do for a living.

Skip! Giggle! Squeal!

Mary's, the, uh, well, it's a gay bar -- i think that's pretty clear, and i think they're pretty proud of that -- in East Atlanta, is having a Beach Party night, tomorrow/Thursday. They're showing Stomp! Shout! Scream! and Jay Edwards is gonna help DJ (??!). He's promised a whole set of monkey songs. Come out and have a drink. do you like monkeys and drinks? and screaming? and mary kraft in a film playing the electric bass? ...kind of? and gay bars that are sort of fun?

Only thing is, it conflicts with the Francis Ford Coppola ta-doo at the Rialto. It's really just about the same thing, so.
Also, I hear the FFC thing is sold out.

i smell sexy puppets

smells like rum and sawdust.
Rarely do we at The Doug Dank Project send out someone's life story - but this is way too interesting!
This week, Wednesday May 9th, we welcome Raymond Carr as our guest monologist. He is truly one of Atlanta's most interesting artists as you can see by his story.

home schooled by church clowns in the bowels of Los Angeles California, Raymond Carr has forged ahead to be come one of the top black puppeteers in the country!!! a good portion of Atlanta know him for his antics at dad's garage puppet slams and late night creepy horror theater and for his (taking himself waaayyy too seriously) avant garde crap at the center for puppetry arts, sprinkled in with a handful of kids shows every now and again, IF he can avoid it. and sometimes he likes to make movies with his company ninja puppet productions. and even more of Atlanta knows him for his insentient yammering about how he used to live in Iceland. 3 massive head wounds, cross country road trips in a puppet mobile, and straight edge living are the building?blocks of the raymond carr.
Hope to see you out!
