I have to believe that

this will be funny. How can it not be, with Mitch Rouse and David Pasquesi?

And there's the jinx.

" Over at Spike TV, the men's cable network is going for guffaws with The Factory, according to Variety. The comedy is being developed by Strangers with Candy cocreator Mitch Rouse and will rely heavily on actors' improv skills."

Here's an interesting "debate" from the Onion AV Club:

Rouse and Pasquesi are very funny guys, and improv can help reduce a budget that normally requires writers, but that doesn't mean lightning's going to strike, of course. Still, I hope this turns out to be a good show.

It's interesting that the trailer calls Rouse the "creator," not cocreator, of "Strangers With Candy." He's never mentioned, not even by Sedaris, Colbert, and Dinello, when the origins of that show are discussed.
