Spring Electronics Recycling Day

Saturday, March 24 • 9 a.m.-1 p.m.
Decatur High School parking lot
Go to this site for a complete list of recyclables. It's huge.

Don't throw away that old computer, printer, fax machine or other outdated electronic equipment – bring it to the Decatur High School parking lot, corner of N. McDonough Street and W. Howard Avenue, for recycling.

Electronics dropped off on March 24 will be sorted and broken down into their raw materials and sent to recyclers for reuse. New to the list of recyclable items for 2007 are batteries of any type, bubble wrap and clean Styrofoam packaging components, mercury thermometers and thermostats. In 2006 Decatur recycled 60,000 pounds of electronic equipment that would have otherwise gone to the landfill.
