lights out
so, i loved that cities around the country turned their lights out last night from 8 - 9pm. I was at Manuel's and they did turn the "lights" out, but the tv's and neon beer signs were still on. But still....i guess it's part of a bigger picture.
My question is WHY not, as long as they did this big push for this one night, WHY not go ahead and propose this as a weekly thing???! So dumb to make it just the one night, as a symbolic gesture. Do it every saturday and/or sunday night!

i slept SIXTEEN hours last night. lay down on the floor around 7 pm, and i dreamt several times about the entire world going dark all of a sudden, in the middle of the day. once while i was swimming in a river. but i still figured out how swim to shore.
might try it just at home - each week an hour of darkness but am going to leave on the TV and neon beer signs...for the dog.
mary, i'd be happy to "put your lights out" every saturday and/or sunday.
