ok, imagine my surprise when i opened a myspace bulletin from Unknown Hinson to find this:

IT'S SQUIDBILLIES NIGHT AT THE EARL IN ATLANTA!! ADULT SWIM WILL BE GIVING AWAY SHIRTS, HUGGIES, TONS OF GOODIES AND WE'LL BE SHOWING FOUR EPISODES OF THE SQUIDBILLIES,
PLUS A WORLD PREMIER OF "BEHIND THE SCENES - MAKING OF THE SQUIDBILLIES" FEATURING THE TALENTED PEOPLE AT ADULT SWIM WHO WRITE, DESIGN PICTURE AND SOUND, ANIMATE, AND COORDINATE PRODUCTION FOR THE SHOW. THE VIDEO ALSO REVEALS THE PEOPLE BEHIND THE VOICES ON SQUIDBILLIES.

uhhh, hmmmm. ok. well, there's so little of that that's actually true. I love unknown, and his wife margo, though. and i'll tell you, the emails that have gone back and forth between me and williams st. offices have been HILARIOUSLY confusing. I'm still at this moment not exactly sure what is going on. Or what will happen.
We'll see.
Regardless, the Unknown show will be awesome, i'm sure. and i've heard really good things about the short, "making of squidbillies" parody thing from the soon to be released (well, october...) DVD.
So, come on out, i THINK everything starts about 10:15.
Again, i dunno.

Meh. Another awesome-sounding event that I have no access to. :'(
And yeah, the Squids DVD comes out October 16th (4 days before my birthday, though i'll probably end up buying it myself before that.) and it sounds like it will be hot as hell.
"Hilarious Confusing" e-mails from Williams St. reminds me of an e-mail reply I got from an obviously drunken Dave shortly after the movie premier. XD
Hope you have fun. Though i'm sure it will be.

I heard that if you go to open mic night at Slapper's Komedy Klub you can catch an elaborately disguised Mary E. Kraft trying out her newest stand-up material.
Really? That's pretty cool... you get a Squids DVD for your birfday. :D
It wasn't much. We'd be asking to get concept art for the Vol 4 DVD of Aqua Teen for a while, but apparently the guy who was supposed to look for it was really busy (we ended up dumping the idea... hopefully we can come up with something ourselves.)
So I reminded Dave via e-mail that at the time we were still looking for the art... so out of nowhere he replies and announced that he'd been drinking. Then he said something along the lines of "What is you are need?" :D
I really need a speedboat or something to get around.
clunky, slapper's closed down. it reopened under new management as slappy's. then closed, and now there's a junior college in the space.
