A Mike on the Mic the size of a KING

Holy my lordies!
I love Mike Geier! He's the monologist this week at Doug Dank.
Push Push Wednesday at 10pm.
$5

He's the giant guy who fronts the band Kingsized!
He works with the Dames Aflame, as well. Excellent singer. He's married to one of the dames. The one who wears little clothing and the demeanor and mask of a monkey. It's pretty cool.
Mike used to operate a cuban restaurant at night in Candler Park out of the Gato Bizco space which only does breakfast/lunch. He cooked me some damn good fish, black beans, rice, and plantains.
Here's some press from the kingsized site:
IT AIN'T BRAGGIN' IF YOU DONE IT!
An entertainer of unparalleled versatility, Big Mike has shared billing with such great and varied artists as Tony Bennet, El Vez, Flat Duo Jets, Neko Case, Southern Culture on the Skids, Squirrel Nut Zippers, Francine Reed, Ronnie Dawson, Room Full Of Blues, Royal Crown Revue, Rudy Ray Moore, Sam Butera, Asleep At The Wheel, and Tenacious D. He costarred in MTV's Brickface and Stucco, acted in a few Bikini Bandits films, performed live on 99X and via world-wide webcast on New Jersey's WFMU. Geier also records voice-overs for TV and radio.

In addition to countless club appearances and functions here in Atlanta, KINGSIZED has entertained the peoples from all points on the map, playing shows in Austin, Chapel Hill, Chicago, Dallas, Ft. Lauderdale, Highlands, Los Angeles, Nantucket, Naples, New Orleans, New York City, Philadelphia, San Francisco and Washington D.C. KINGSIZED has performed the New Year's Eve Peach Drop at Underground Atlanta and the My South Rocks series at Turner Field, as well as the EinS Gallery Opening in Frankfurt, Germany and the Tabou Tiki Room in Berlin.
