About the puppies...

they were all killed!!

---I mean adopted--adopted!! Shit! I meant to say adopted.

So, good for them.

but if that post made you think about the availability in your home/life for a doggy or cat, i was just up at my vet, Briarcliff Animal Hospital, and they have 2 adorable shepherd mixes that were rescued from a crawlspace. and tons of kitties. 404-874-6393.

also, Southern Hope Humane Society. They kill animals. SHIT! I mean adopt out animals. They are a no-kill place!
Why do i get those confused!?

6 Black Lab Puppies looking for home

friend of a friend, Scott, rescued 6 black lab (mix) puppies out of the middle of the road on Saturday. PLEASE help me find them homes - otherwise, it's Animal Control - which means they only have 5 days. We've bathed them, sprayed them for fleas and wormed them....but we can't keep them. They are currently in a kennel in my basement since I don't have a fence. I've lost count of the number of rescue groups that I've contacted, only to be turned down due to no room. Please check with every dog person you know to see if they need a puppy.

As you can tell from the photo, RIDICULOUSLY adorable.

I'm asking.

Does any tv romance have more chemistry, or sizzle more juicily than Boston Public's Candice Bergen and John Larroquette?

Homestar Runner's Matt Chapman at Doug Dank!!

Whaaa?
Yes.
Him!
Everybody! Everbody!
It's highly unlikely you don't know about The Brothers Chaps and their awesome website and characters and cartoons and games and merch, but if you don't, the best tutorial is a trip through the site itself.
HOMESTAR RUNNER.

He has great stories.
He's very talented.

And i think i heard last week that there will be some merchandise GIVEaways.

Plus some great long-form improv that just keeps getting better.

All of this for $5?

no.

YES!

Wednesday night.
10pm.

Balls of Pure Creepiness

"You feel like a princess getting to dress up and knowing the person you're dancing with loves you so much. I want to feel beautiful to him more than anyone else in my life...."

"They're going to get their identity, but if fathers aren't around, they're going to go outside the home to get that identity."
Just replace "identity" with "freak on" and it makes more sense.

And Colorado Springs is the bastion of purity.

For a site about abstinence, they sure use the word ball a lot.
All of a sudden I'm hungry.

Grandma arrested for prostitution

The mother and daughter were arrested Aug. 1, after they allegedly both agreed to have sex with an undercover officer for $30 -- at $15 each.

I feel in my heart that the AP writer(s) wanted with every fiber of their being to add some sort of bold/italics/underline, or emoticon, or punctuation mark or something, to that last dollar amount.

Pot is great

and holes aren't by nature bad.

i just the other day called 404-POT-HOLE for the first time.

How facebook is like Emiolio Estevez

It's as if facebook is sitting in a car, drinking bad coffee, on a stakeout, watching my every facebook change with binoculars, through my window.

THEN, as if that weren't invasive and degrading enough, i THINK---that facebook is judging my actions now. I read a accusatory tone into it, anyway.

"Mary commented on her own posted item. 7:37pm"

I say Emilio, and not Richard Dreyfuss, cuz i just don't think Richard Dreyfuss would judge.

We've got a secret. shhhh. HISS!

Go HERE for past episodes.

The new THONGS are here! The new THONGS are here!

Hey you. Excuse me, yes, you, with the mighty fine ass.
I didn't think that thing could look any better, but you know what? Take a look at this.

I'm not just saying this. I think you are the perfect person to have one of these Simpson and Snatch thongs.

I'm just th---whassit? oh, you'll take one? That is pretty pretty awesome. Thanks, dude. It helps support our show! Thanks. The designs on all the stuff were made by our friend Tori LaConsay! You, uh---ehhh, nevermind.
--oh, it's nothing.
--it's just that---i was just thinking, well, you know about holidays, right?
know what those are? they're coming up so fast!!
and birthdays?
you've had them, you've known people who've turned older on a specific day, and expected something original from you, right?

well, why don't you give itunes and crate and barrel a day off.

get them something they won't expect, and possibly won't want--that is, until they realize the awesome powers* that come with owning and wearing a Simpson and Snatch thong. We'll put a business card in with the order, too, so whoever receives this craptastic awesomeness of an item will have the website, and become an avid fan of the houseboat on Lake Slampsberg. If you're local, just ask us and we'll do the transaction in person. saves a lot of hassle and paper. Let's leave those postal workers to chattering with their face holes in the back room at the p.o. shhh, now they're napping!

While you're on the merch page, toss a button or two on your order for maximum enjoyment.
They were made by our friend Becky Johnson of Iron Cobra in Toronto!
Yeah? Great! No.... you couldn't possibly...well, sure! One t-shirt coming up. Man, you are THE coolest. And I would've thought that if you'd just bought the one thong. Seriously.

...seriously.......(WINK!!!)**

*powers are decided by the wearer, and exist only in the supernatural realm of wearer's mind.

**SERIOUSLY! WINK! BUY! please?

Doug Dank blamed for Northern Border Breach

Canada continues to invade America, bombing the shit out of the place with comedy.

This Wednesday's Doug Dank Project welcomes Mike Fly from Vancouver as the guest monologist. If you went to any of the shows at Dad's Garage's World Domination Tournament last week/weekend, you might have caught him onstage, kicking comedy's ass.

Mike Fly is a member of the improv troupe General Fools from Regina, Saskatchewan and has been improvising with them for the last 10 years. While with General Fools Mike has traveled to festivals in Canada and the United States. Currently, Mike lives in Vancouver, British Columbia, performs regularly with Urban Improv and is a cast member at Vancouver TheatreSports League.
